Why do you have to work that kid so hard?

Nice! Sender on the right, little kicker if you hug the left.

Cool

I would change the caption to: You complained, come over and YOU change it. This will be the case for now on.

NooooooooπŸ˜’. Ppl need to either step there game up or hit the by pass 😠

No complaints zone!

Had anyone heard about this new trail?

Tell them I'll save them 50 grand and build it all for 139k.

I looked for design plans online. Couldn't find any. Just the city was awarded a $200k grant for the project. The company is a road and highway construction co. So it should be interesting but I'm not anticipating anything like our usual mtb trail systems

Never heard of it. Should be interesting to see a contractor building MTB trails if they are MTB trails.

So strange. It is a nice park other than being packed with uber drivers all day. I eat lunch there sometimes.

Omg! I take Cody there to swim! And a bike trail?

Interesting...

Sounds like more of a family oriented bike path than a MTN park. Time will tell

This kind of rip rap..for bikes? I would be as of none of the Broward trail builders are consulted, but it's nice that others see the need for family trails πŸ‘ͺπŸ‘ͺπŸ‘ͺhttps://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Riprap

Following

189k for 4 miles...... I would have been impressed if Flo-Motion or some other quality professional trail builders were making the trail.... but a road crew??!

I know these kind of post aren't very popular here, but what the hell, I spoke to a few people who thought the same thing but didn't want to post.
The new section in STH is great, the lipped drop is a lot of fun, but the wooden kicker takes away from the section. I'd, very respectfully, propose it be moved somewhere else, the kicker itself is great and the lip just before it is great, but they don't work well together. I know there's been some talk about moving it forward or backwards, but hitting the drop at any decent amount of speed sends you far enough that if the kicker were moved further away it would be impossible to jump it and stay on the trail, overall the section would flow a lot better if it were just the lipped drop and let the speed carry on to the next turn, flow.
With the shape the kicker has it would make a great optional feature to jump into a rolling downhill, I'm not aware of the design for the rest of that section but I do know you're working on continuing the expansion there using the elevation difference of the depression crossed just before, perhaps it could be used to jump into that downhill.
I hope it is understood that I'm not criticizing anyone's work, but instead providing a suggestion based on what I've felt and spoken with others.
I added a poll to get others opinion on this.
Cheers

The way the kicker is currently set don't work, I would like to adjust the height and angle and see if it would work better.

There were a lot of comments about this back and forth. I think your poll is a great idea to have the right feedback on what needs to be changed. Because it is relatively new and not enough people have ridden it, we will leave the poll here for a week and see the outcome.

This type of post is very welcomed here. We understand the difference between constructive input vs out right criticism. Remember we aren't roadies!! πŸ˜€

Stefano - great idea to create a poll and thank you for expressing all of our concerns in a respectful yet positive manner. That kicker's beauty is that it is very mobile. May I provide additional launch placement? Thoughts on moving it towards small bump near "Truck Crossing" or between exit of Freebird and entrance to B2TB? Mostly everyone already chooses to jump it or not at their will anyways and it will not disrupt flow at either spot but enhance it. Just needs a bypass for those not ready or comfy to launch it. (Yet)

We need a qualifier in front of kicker!

I love the new section, but I also love the little kicker by it self and all the crazy combinations people have placed it on, I think it will rot faster in its current location.

We should build a new mobile kicker.

I agree with the the idea of moving the kicker. I am currently bypassing it on the left as it helps me keep my speed into the next section of rollers. A berm at the bottom into the rollers would be the perfect scenario

Wow, this just tells me that I haven't ridden at VK in a while bc now there's a drop with a lip and also a jump that is shaped as a kicker? Sounds like fun

The lip on the pavers going down is gone now. You will be able to align for the bottom jump for now on. If someone wants to build a berm after the jump, feel free to show up. We have dirt and equipment. I'll get you started.

Reclaim Seth's a la carte kicker to the VK gypsies, build a new kicker for that section, pack in the transitional landing area with a berm on the left to follow and up the hill you go! Damn the lip is gone?

If somebody does not know how to jump it, they can go on the left.

βœ” when no one shoes up to help. Got a put a 12 year old to work. There you have it. Fixed.
